MAZE: Miami Beach Nightlife As It Was Meant To Be!

MAZE: Miami Beach Nightlife As It Was Meant To Be

The time has come to take down the Velvet Rope; to create a venue on Miami Beach that offers South Florida's diverse community a total experience of the senses. Enter Maze, the multi-faceted hotspot on Miami Beach, with three distinct areas ranging from casual chic to high-energy music with internationally renowned DJs.

Maze was born out of a desire to create a high quality complex with wide appeal and a sense of community -- without the South Beach attitude.

Located on the popular west side of Miami Beach, Maze will celebrate its Grand Opening on Friday, November 29, with entertainment by DJ BT.     The entire building has been overhauled, with an emphasis on quality, comfort and fun. New flooring, lighting, colors and sound are just the beginning.

At the hub of the complex is the 16,000 square-foot dance space, featuring the most advanced sound system in the world. In fact, Maze's Dance Stack system created by Funktion-One, the leader in high-powered professional sound, will be the only one of its kind; just one club -- in Ibiza -- has a similar system, the predecessor to this revolutionary sound. The Funktion-One system is the most highly appreciated system in the international DJ market, requested by the world's top DJs, including Victor Calderone and Paul Oakenfold.

In addition to the installation of the Dance Stack System, the dance area will feature a spectacular lighting system by Coemar and seven nitrogen jets to ensure cool comfort.

Filling a void in the local scene, Lime Bar is another space within the complex, with its own separate entrance on West Avenue. As a "Casual Chic, South Beach Martini Bar," Lime Bar will be open Tuesdays through Sundays and is upscale, yet casual. Set amidst a palette of Prada green and vibrant purple, Lime Bar is the ideal backdrop for conversation, cocktails and an energy that rises throughout the night beginning at 5 PM through 5 AM.

The Room at Maze, the third venue, will be accessible from the dance area, but will have its own identity -- as an elegant, cabaret-type lounge set amidst a burgundy, charcoal and silver interior. The Room will feature special events, live performances, theme parties and more.

Kicking off the weekend is "Funktion-One Fridays," an explosive exploration into the world of progressive dance music, with international DJ's like Paul Oakenfold, BT, D:Fuse and Chemical Brothers spinning favorite top-of-the-chart releases.

Saturday nights will never be the same, as Maze presents "Rize Saturdays," a tribute to world-class DJs from Peter Rauhofer, Wayne G, Tony Moran, Phil B, DJ Escape and resident DJ Monty Q - to name a few. Catering to South Florida's large gay population, Rize Saturdays kicks off on November 30 with White Heat, a highlight of White Party Week, with DJs James Anderson of NYC and Wayne G from London. Also on the roster is a special performance by Celeda, whose latest collaboration with Grammy-award winning producer Peter Rauhofer in "The Underground" is perched at #1 on the Billboard Dance Charts.

For those who want to party on Sunday mornings, Maze introduces the "Breakfast Club" with a progressive marathon of superstar DJs from around the world, beginning at 8 AM.

With an eclectic mix of energy, Maze offers something to satisfy every taste, from a casual happy hour at the Lime Bar to dancing-until-dawn. The entrance to Maze and The Room is located at 1290 18th Street at West Avenue, with a separate doorway to Lime Bar at 1771 West Avenue. For further information, please call (305) 534-9975.
